About Our New Name

“Macca Gene” /'Mack-uh Jean/ honors family members who shaped our story. The name reflects the people and traditions that guide us as we continue making yogurt the right way.

  • You’ll start seeing the new packaging in stores starting the week of December 1.

    You may see Macca Gene labels alongside SideHill Farm labels for a time - that’s okay! It’s the same yogurt inside.

  • Not at all! However, the trademark holders for “SideHill Farm” needed to do what was right for their business, which meant that we had to change the name to ours.

    We do not own that trademark ourselves.

  • Not one bit. Same recipes, same process, same taste.

  • The name honors our family roots and the traditions we carry forward.

    We can’t wait to tell you more about these two special people who lent us their namesake.
